Belarusian Library Directors Learn about U.S. Digital Library Services

About 30 directors of major Belarusian university libraries took part in a May 23 DVC, coordinated by the Public Affairs Section, on creating and managing electronic resources and services. The event linked the Belarusians with a team of U.S. library experts from the department of Digital Library Services at the University of Michigan's University Library, whose acquisitions budget ranks number three among U.S. university libraries. The library directors later took part in an annual international library conference sponsored by the Belarusian Library Association. For most, it was the first DVC experience.
