U.S. Embassy Minsk Hosts Legal Ethics Seminar

On September 23, the Public Affairs Section of U.S. Embassy Minsk hosted more than 50 Belarusian law students and young lawyers for a seminar on legal ethics. Working together with the Minsk branch of ABA/CEELI (American Bar Association/Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative), PAS invited the young people to the event that included a short lecture on American legal ethics, and a break-out session during which small groups discussed ethical dilemmas. Post Administrative Officer Ben Dille, a lawyer, opened the event with welcoming remarks; it closed with a small reception, giving the students and lawyers an opportunity to meet their American counterparts and network with each other.
